Sink caves, installer doesn't
COMPLAINT: Mike Glazer, Lutz, Fla.
"I hired International Granite & Stone of Odessa [Fla.] to install countertops in my new home. Eleven months later, the main kitchen sink collapsed. I called IGS five times about having them fix this, and each time they told me they were very busy.
"Another company told me IGS used a minimal amount of silicone and an insufficient number of clips to hold up the sink."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I feel this should have been a warranty issue. I would like them to reimburse the $120 I paid to have their work repaired."
RESPONSE: Leslie Valen, controller, International Granite & Stone
"The member's countertop was out of warranty when his service request was made. We have a service call fee of $150 for any work out of warranty."
STATUS: Stalemate
