Seattle move marred by damaged leather chair
Date Published: Jan 21 2011
COMPLAINT: Carol Finn, Seattle
"Adam's Moving & Delivery Service of Shoreline [Wash.] moved about 70 boxes and furniture. Overall, the move was OK, but I felt they were more interested in getting the job done quickly than they were about being careful.
"During the move, a few things were damaged and noted on the invoice. I e-mailed them and said I would fix two of the damaged items myself, but I couldn't repair the damage to a leather chair. It took them several days to respond to my e-mail, and after I asked for $115 to cover the cost of the chair's repair, they stopped responding."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like to be reimbursed $115 for the repair of the leather chair."
STATUS: Resolved
