Seattle contractor allegedly takes money and runs

COMPLAINT: Penny Orloff, Index

Kory Whitcomb of Kory H. Whitcomb General Contractor in Sultan required half of the costs to repair the plumbing, carpentry and electricity in my house upfront. He showed up sporadically and didn't complete the work. When he promised to come back and requested the final payment for the job, which was only half done, I gave it to him. I never heard from him again.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want Kory Whitcomb to complete the work for which I paid and repair work that turned out to be faulty.

This is an excellent example of why you NEVER give final payment to a contractor until you are satisfied with the completed project. How unfortunate that people are still giving money for jobs that are incomplete!
