Seattle auto repair shop accused of theft

COMPLAINT: Linda Kroft, Puyallup, Wash.

"I hired Car Clinic to install a new engine, but they didn't connect all the hoses and vacuum lines. They also left the bad fuel pumps in the car.

"After the engine was installed, the car ran very rough. I took it to another shop to find that the vacuum lines weren't connected and the two fuel pumps were not working.

"I've paid $4,000 additional to fix what they said was replaced or repaired. The bill shows the wheel bearings were replaced and packed for the rear wheels, but one of them was never replaced.

"Also, while they had my vehicle, someone took my rims and studded tires, which they didn't pay for or replace. I reported the missing items to the police."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want a them to pay me $3,000 — $1,500 for the tires and rims and $1,500 for the problems I paid to have fixed."
