San Diego cabinet installers disagree with homeowner
Contractual conflict
COMPLAINT: David Carreon, San Diego
"I hired DesignCrafted Bardon Cabinetry to install cabinets in my kitchen, bath, entertainment area, bar and pantry. The people doing the installation were nice, but Bardon didn't order the correct cabinets. I ordered European frameless cabinets — it's clearly stated in my contract.
"They've left work unfinished to this day. I've also had problems with the drywall, wood discoloration and the measurements. Some of the cabinets were cut wrong, and the angles are off. Basically, they've not honored the contract."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want DesignCrafted Bardon Cabin to adhere to the agreement and provide me with the European frameless cabinets, or they can remove all of their cabinets from the kitchen, bath, entertainment area, bar and pantry and give me all of the money they've taken from me."
RESPONSE: Eddie Brown, president, DesignCrafted Bardon Cabinetry
"The few items that remain don't inhibit the member from having a functional kitchen. He's had his countertops, sinks and appliances installed. We've sent him many e-mails with regard to scheduling an appointment to complete his project, with no response.
"The member contracted for European frameless cabinetry, and that's what was built and installed. The member also contracted for panel ends and now claims they're not European, which is simply not true. He signed off on the drawings, and his cabinetry was built per the drawings he approved."
