Dallas landscaping complaint
COMPLAINT: Mary-Ann Ferguson, Irving
"I built a pool in the backyard and wanted a landscaped yard. I hired Heaven on Earth Landscaping, which my pool builder referred to me. Heaven on Earth Landscaping never came in the morning when they said they would and, instead, would show up mid- or late afternoon and work until dark. I asked them if they guaranteed their work if any of the plants or trees died, and they said yes. Two of the live oak trees died. The trees sat in the ground until two weeks ago when I had them removed. I've left several messages and never got a response. I should have known better when they gave me a handwritten invoice with no address on it."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the trees replaced or my money returned."
STATUS: Penalty box
COMPLAINT: Iris Porta, Weatherford
"I hired Weatherford Roofing to repair my roof after a hail storm. This involved replacing all of the shingles and one skylight. They replaced the shingles, but they told me they'd have to order the skylight. During the process of installing the new shingles, they knocked out 10 ceiling lights. The lights were still attached to the ceiling but were hanging by the electrical wires. I paid them in full for the roofing job, but after repeated phone calls, they've never come back."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want Weatherford to finish the job or give me a $2,000 refund."
STATUS: Penalty box
