Repeat service calls resolve bathtub refinishing dispute
COMPLAINT: Rose Kowalski, Vancouver, Wash.
"Dennis [Paulus, the co-owner of Advanced Bathtub Refinishing in Portland, Ore.] refinished a bathtub and pedestal sink. He masked off the area and sprayed a bonding liquid and two coats of epoxy paint. He said to leave everything for 24 hours, then take the tape off and wash the surfaces.
"The finish looked textured and had an uneven shine. Dennis said it'd flatten as it dried. I waited two weeks, but it didn't change. Dennis wet-sanded and sprayed the surfaces again. Two areas still weren't shiny. I'd make them come back a third time, but I don't want to see them again."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want a full $450 refund."
