COMPLAINT: Hugh Ette, Morrisville, N.C.
"I hired Lovett Construction for several jobs around the house, including replacing kitchen countertops, refinishing kitchen cabinets and building a pantry.
"[Larry Lovett, the owner] was incompetent and dishonest about his abilities. The work was of extremely poor quality. I e-mailed him, but he has made no effort to correct any of the issues.
"I had to correct the problem with new contractors at approximately the same cost I paid to Mr. Lovett."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a full refund of $3,000."
