Portland door installer updates 85-year-old doors
The original doors in Jennifer Baldwin's 1926 home were in need of repair. Because of the home's age, the doors were not considered "standard size," and needed some additional consideration.
"The door frames, jambs and trim had to be replaced as well," Baldwin explains. "The door to the back of our house included weather stripping, too."
Wanting a quality job for a reasonable price, Baldwin learned big-box stores couldn't compete with the price and service offered by Portland door installers The Door Works Co. Inc. The company impressed the historic home owner with its reasonable rates and attention to detail.
The door installer "took his time installing the doors and didn't cut any corners when it came to making sure the frame and trim matched," Baldwin says.
