Poor economy makes kitchen remodels affordable
Submitted by Dennis Moloney, president of Best Restorations, Inc.
Thanks to this sad real estate economy, many homeowners are choosing to remodel their kitchens and baths as a way of sprucing up a home they will be staying in for a while longer.
There is something about a new kitchen that really perks up your spirits. It is a gift to yourself that keeps on giving and giving for a long time. We are all aware that new home buyers will often make their decision based on whether or not they like the kitchen. An upgraded kitchen, with new cabinets and counters, can almost be like moving into a new home.
The good news is that there is no better time to upgrade your kitchen’s appearance, or that of your bathrooms, than right now. Cabinet, tile and granite prices are priced right as you might expect in this slow market economy.
Look for a contractor who has an on-staff designer, and then have fun remodeling the most lived in rooms in your home. The design service should be free. It will turn out to be a great decision for you not only today but also in the future – if and when you place your home for sale in a revived real estate market.
And don’t be surprised if the cost turns out to be considerably less than what you expected. Besides, you won’t even consider the cost when your favorite cook is smiling all the time.
