Permit and code complaints follow electrical work
COMPLAINT: Andrew Grossberg, Milwaukie, Ore.
"Traditional Electric LLC of Hillsboro [Ore.] replaced a circuit panel. The job started well but ended very badly. I was new to Oregon and had just bought my house, so I didn't know I was supposed to get the permit first. They promised to take care of the paperwork later. They kept promising, but eventually they stopped returning my phone calls.
"I lost faith in them and had another electrician check their work. Almost none of the work was up to code! Several circuit breakers were mismatched or not appropriate for the panel they were in. The other electrician brought everything up to code for an additional cost.
"Traditional never gave us any warranties on anything but the parts' original warranties. I made countless attempts to contact them with no luck."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want compensation for the cost of the other electrician or at least a refund of $194 from the itemized bill that was never used to pay for the permit."
STATUS: Penalty Box
