COMPLAINT: Christopher Gauker, Cincinnati

"I bought a new washer and dryer from The Appliance Loft LLC. These are models that stand on pedestals with drawers.

"They were floor models but in perfect, unused condition when I bought them. The washer and dryer were delivered two days later. I paid for installation, but the delivery men only plugged them in.

"They were unprepared to deal with complications, such as old hoses that would not come off the spigots. They could not even level them properly, and I had to do that after they left.

"The drawers in the pedestals were off their runners, ball bearings had fallen out and the drawers did not close properly. I was able to get one of them to work, but others seemed irreparable.

"I believe they had been damaged in transit through careless handling. Even before the delivery men had left, I called the shop to report the problem. I got the store to agree to replace the pedestals. However, I have not been able to get them to do so.

"I have called repeatedly. Occasionally, I get an answer and am told that the pedestals will be replaced. But more than three weeks later, they have not been replaced, and I have never once received a phone call from the store." 

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like The Appliance Loft to deliver and install new pedestals under the washing machine."
