Steve Bowman asked several companies to bid on paving his old gravel driveway, and most wanted to remove all the previous stone, driving up the price. But John Scott believed he could conserve some of the original material.

"His price was significantly lower because of this," Bowman says. "He finished the job early and exactly to spec. He went out of his way to make sure I knew what to expect."
