The Best
Nashville
It's attention to the little things that's earned Matt Mauch's Punch List Plus recognition as one of Nashville's best. For the past three years, Mauch's one-man operation has focused on completing customers' smaller handyman tasks rather than large projects, and customers don't forget it. Rand Frederiksen hired Mauch twice for small home repairs. "He's very inventive and he does what he says he's going to do — for me that's very important," he says.
Angie's List members like Frederiksen consistently give Punch List overall "A"-rated reports. "For me, it's really about making people happy and making their lives easier. That's what keeps me going," Mauch says.
Cornerstone Electric Door Co.
Antioch
When Jim Mulholland started his garage door company in 1994, he says he did so with a simple premise, "Treat people like you want to be treated." Angie's List Nashville members say the company lives up to that philosophy: Cornerstone has garnered a flawless "A" rating on every report in the last 12 months.
"They really know their business, and they're really easy to deal with," says Diana Holland, who hired Cornerstone late in the day for emergency garage door repairs. "All their staff had the same level of responsiveness and professionalism — even at the end of the day." For Pam Jackson, Mulholland's responsiveness and quick turnaround installing a garage door in her new home made her a satisfied customer. "He was very responsive. He knew my situation and he wanted to make sure he installed the door before I moved in," she says.
