My vacuum comes with attachments?
Though we use our vacuum cleaners just about every time we clean our carpets and rugs, many of us don’t have a clue to the many other ways they can be used to tackle the dust throughout our homes.
Vacuums often come with a variety of attachments that broaden the ways in which the main unit can be used. However, their shapes aren’t always intuitive to those trying to figure out how they should be used.
Dusting brush: This rounded attachment is designed for use on delicate objects and uneven surfaces. You could try using it on curtains or floor rugs.
Crevice tool: Usually a flat attachment with one end cut on the diagonal, it’s designed to get at hard-to-reach places, such as behind furniture.
Turbo brush: These attachments, about six inches wide, are similar to the regular floor brush, and are commonly used to vacuum stairs.
Upholstery tool: It’s not only the floor that gets dusty and dirty from continuous use. The main vacuum cleaner is a bit unwieldy for getting onto and around furniture. This attachment can make that process easier.
Pet attachment: Available as a comb and/or bristled brush that comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, these attachments – which separate, lift and remove shedding hair – are among the most popular on the market. They allow the hair to be sucked into the vacuum cleaner as the pet is being combed or brushed.
Specialty attachments: Some vacuum cleaners can be used with independently designed attachments that can be used on a variety of brands for cleaning blinds, screen doors, dryer vents, under refrigerators and windows or ceiling fans. Some mini-attachments can be used for electronic products.
Some high-end vacuum cleaners might be advertised as the best for getting rid of dust and dirt, but they can also be difficult to understand and operate. A Los Angeles carpet cleaner will not only be able to show you how to use your vacuum attachments but also can provide a professional cleaning for your entire home, whether it's on a regular or one-time basis.
