Missing contract stirs Dallas foundation repair dispute
Dallas Penalty Box
Weldon’s Construction Co.
Failed to respond to Beverly Byrnes’ complaint about unsatisfactory plumbing and landscaping work.
COMPLAINT: Charles Herron, Mesquite, Texas
“In 1999, I hired Alliance Foundation Co. to repair my house’s foundation. The work was covered under a 10-year unlimited warranty.
"I recently noticed cracking in areas that they had replaced and started having trouble with door alignment. I asked them to repair the work under their warranty.
"I’ve lost the original contract, but I have the warranty papers and faxed them to the company. Now they won’t return my phone calls.”
DESIRED RESOLUTION: “I would like Alliance Foundation Co. to either honor their warranty or refund the money it would require to have my foundation repaired.”
RESPONSE: Geanie Williams, Alliance Foundation Co.
“I would love to schedule a date for any necessary adjustment on the work we performed. I told Mr. Herron we needed a copy of his contract and warranty papers. We lost our own records in a fire. He did fax me a warranty but has not found his contract.
"I must have his contract for any adjustment on the work.”
