Member alleges move did not meet expectations

COMPLAINT:  Walter Duque de Estrada, Webster Groves, Mo.

"I hired At Your Service Moving of St. Louis to move the contents of my two-story, three-bedroom house. My family packed all our own boxes. The move seemed to go smoothly initially, and the crew was extremely courteous. But difficulties arose while moving into the new house. The move was taking longer than expected, and the crew leader became irritated.

"He assembled the children's beds and he left them in sorry shape. We had to repeatedly ask him to tighten the assemblies. The crew also failed to install the mirror on a bedroom dresser. After they left, I noticed they broke the leg on a bookcase, and instead of notifying me, they placed the bookcase on top of the leg. I did not notice it until we tried to move it. Also, I asked them to place shelves in the garage and boxes on top of them, but they dropped everything in willy-nilly. I also realized that we're missing a Thomas the Tank Engine Playboard."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want a $100 refund for the lost playboard ($60) and repairs to the bookcase ($40)."

STATUS: Resolved

Editor's Note: Duque de Estrada informed Angie's List he received a $100 refund and considers the matter resolved.
