Marvin Window purchase doesn't qualify for tax rebate
Gravina's - Marvin Window Center of Littleton installed my new patio door. I requested that it be a door that would qualify for a tax rebate. The salesperson assured me it would. Once done, I checked the rebate website and discovered the door stopped qualifying for the rebate three months earlier. I contacted Gravina, and the salesperson admitted the mistake and offered to help by sending a backdated work order. This was not a suitable resolution. Finally, the owner, Jim Gravina, agreed to swap it to a qualifying door. However, after numerous calls, I still don't have the door I want.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want full reimbursement.
COMPANY RESPONSE: Jim Gravina, owner, Gravina's - Marvin Window Center
The customer assumed he purchased a door that met the tax credit qualifications, but it did not. The door we ordered was the same specified on his contract. I did offer to swap it at one point, but I have since taken the offer off the table. Given the circumstances, we have met our obligation per the specifications of the contract.
