"American Honda Motor Co. refused to assist in the cost of a new transmission or stand behind their car. I had my car serviced on a regular basis, provided all the service records and they still refused. Later, American Honda Motor Co. told me Miller Honda was going to provide a discount for the new transmission. Miller Honda never told me this. Their customer relations manager never returned my calls."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like Miller Honda to return my calls in a timely manner."
RESPONSE: Angeline Singh, customer relations manager, Miller Honda, Culver City, Calif.
"The member came into our service department stating his 1998 Honda Passport's transmission was slipping and requested a transmission flush. After performing the transmission flush, our technician recommended a new transmission. The member requested we call American Honda Motors for help and the claim was denied per the [car's] age and miles.
"After this response from American Honda, the member requested a better price on the transmission, parts and labor. In pursuit of customer satisfaction our service advisor dropped [the price] a total of $750 in parts and labor to help him out. I welcome the member to contact me directly. We're still willing to listen and look forward to servicing his automotive needs in the future."
