Landscaper texts that job is complete; homeowner disagrees

COMPLAINT: Joel Clawson, Dallas

"For $250, I hired John’s Landscaping of Dallas to clean up my yard, which included pruning trees, tying up vines, mowing and cleaning flower beds. They became upset because I didn’t have a trailer for them to load the debris onto and for me to haul away, which wasn’t part of the contract. They didn’t mow the lawn or clean the side yard, and they left large mounds of tree clippings and debris all over my lawn.

"When I called to ask if they were returning, they wouldn’t answer, but they texted me stating that they’d done $250 worth of work and weren’t coming back. I believe they only did $100 worth of work, and it’s since cost me $150 to fix what they didn’t do."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want a $150 refund."

STATUS: Penalty Box
