LA experts tell how to make a massage last
What kinds of things can clients do to get the most out of their massage experience?
“Drinking lots of water is always recommended, and they can stay as long they want afterward and use our steam room.” – Mark Conlon, general manager of highly rated The Massage Therapy Center in West Los Angeles. Conlon says massage effects can last for days, depending on the individual client.
“We have the Luna Lounge, with hot tea and cucumber-citrus water for clients. They come in advance or stay afterwards.” – Carolyn Jones, owner of highly rated Cote D’Azur in Pasadena, Calif. Jones said most clients will be “zenned” out for several days following a massage.
“I recommend an Epsom-salt bath and drinking a lot of water. Massage opens up toxins in the body and they need to be removed.” – Laura Sadler, owner of Massage Spirit in Beverlywood, Calif. Sadler says feeling the effects of a massage varies by client and depends on an individual’s pain or injury.
