COMPLAINT: Keith Maunu, Kent

I contracted [owner/president] Brandon Grote of Urban Element Tree Care & Landscaping in Bellevue to renovate my lawn and work on my downspouts. He left pipe connecting the downspout to the drain exposed, and it sprayed rainwater against the house. I had to redo it myself. Using my gravel, Brandon put in rock steps to the patio that I didn't ask him to build. I also asked him not to drive a dump truck onto my newly paved driveway, but he did. In addition, he spread sandy loam on my yard after I asked him to bring topsoil instead. I had to hire another landscaping company to finish the lawn. He left me with a mess, so I asked him not to come back.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: I'd like an $1,800 refund.

In this job description, the scope of work changed multiple times, making it hard to order materials. We were also asked to do other work not in the original work description. I am sorry Urban Element was not able to make this customer happy. I will waive the remaining balance owed of $525.88. This is more than what the terms and conditions stipulate in doing business with us.
