Kansas City moving company accused of carelessness
COMPLAINT: Dwight Melhorn, Raymore, Mo.
"Sumler Moving Co. moved me from Overland Park, Kan., to Raymore, Mo. During the move, they broke a piece of trim off my dresser. They promised to repair it within a week.
"After many phone calls, they haven't returned the trim piece. I've since been trying to get them to repay me, since I had purchased moving insurance.
"During my most recent interaction, they tried to tell me that the furniture repair companies had given them an $85 estimate, which was too much.
"They asked me, 'Where are we going to come up with $85?' I told them it wasn't my problem since I had purchased insurance. "
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the repaired trim piece returned."
