Indianapolis chimney sweep accused of not removing squirrel
COMPLAINT: Karen Lagle, Indianapolis
I had a squirrel in my chimney. I called Beyond Construction because I saw that they did chimney repair. They said they could get the squirrel out. They couldn't find it but offered to clean my chimney and fireplace.
I figured if they cleaned it, they'd find the squirrel. They only ran the brush into the chimney from the roof, which looked too short for my two-story chimney. They never came inside to clean anything else out or inspect the work. I gave them a check and they left.
All of the creosote was backed up on the flue and they told me to just open it and brush it off. The squirrel was still in my fireplace so I called to see if they could come back and get it, as that was the original reason I needed them, and they told me to just leave it in there and let it die.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want an $80 refund.
