COMPLAINT: Debora Nygren, Speedway, Ind.
"Jerry Hostetler, [the owner] of Chem-Dry Excel, came out to clean my white speckled carpets. He missed four spots in the family room, the worst of which was dog urine.
"He refused to bring the chemical vacuum back out to redo the missed places, and came back and used a spot cleaner instead.
"His attempts to remove a spot made it worse, turning it dark brown in an approximately one-foot-square area.
"He told me it was my problem to take care of. It's his responsibility to fix what he created. He sprayed the other three spots with the same chemical and they also turned dark brown.
"He hasn't done anything but damage my carpets and he refuses to fix them."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want my family room carpet cleaned and the stains he created removed."
STATUS: Stalemate
Editor's note: Chem-Dry Excel responded to Nygren's complaint without comment, indicating they were unwilling to fulfill her request.
