Water damaged

COMPLAINT: Thomas Hensley, Houston

"I hired AJ's Roofing and Painting for roof repairs, fence repairs, internal water damage repairs and painting. They made several visits to repair roof leaks.

"They've been unsuccessful. I continue to have leaks as evidenced by additional wall and ceiling water damage.

"I've tried to resolve the matter, but the company hasn't made satisfactory attempts to correct the problems, even after numerous phone calls to them. They guaranteed their work, both inside and out."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'll have another company fix the roof. Afterwards, I want AJ to come back and repair the internal water damage. There should be no charge from AJ for any further repairs."

"I took a look at the roof repair, and we did the repair a month and a half later for $580. We thought there could be three ways the three bathrooms are leaking: the plumbing, roof or siding.

"We've gone back twice, and the member continues to have plumbing problems. We've never had a contract for the plumbing — that isn't our occupation."
