Houston lawn care complaint
COMPLAINT: Andrea Nelson, Houston
"Best Chemical Lawn Care was supposed to spray my yard for weeds and insects for six months. When they came to spray, they were only here for a few minutes. There was no way they could've walked my yard and sprayed the whole lawn and all the shrubs in that amount of time.
During the next few days, they called again, claiming they'd retested the soil and the fungi was now gone. How could that have happened in one or two days? I didn't see them come and retest, nor did they tell me they were going to.
Now they say my yard has tested positive for termites and want to know if I'd like them to treat it. This sounds pretty fishy to me. The whole idea for the six months was that it would take a while to get the whole yard healthy again."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like to be refunded $231.66."

Houston roofing complaint
COMPLAINT: Mary Jo Hosack, Brazoria
"Land-Tex Roofing replaced my roof, which had hail damage, but it still leaks and is loose. They started installing my siding upside down, which is when I fired them. I couldn't pass the Texas windstorm inspection with the work they did.
Also, they didn't install the product we'd agreed upon, and we have interior leak damage that must be repaired. I had another company with a good rating on Angie's List finish the job; however, there's no warranty that comes with having to repair someone else's job."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like a refund of $12,299."
STATUS: Penalty box
