Homeowner wants reimbursed for roofing fix
COMPLAINT: Lorraine Friestad, Shawnee, Kan.
"I hired Champion of Kansas City in Lenexa [Kan.] for siding, windows and a four-season porch. The porch was delayed several times due to inefficient scheduling. The city would not approve the electrical work and the workmanship on the small deck was terrible, with nails sticking out.
"When the roof was put on the porch, there was a leak. They came to fix it, but it continued. They then told me the roof was bad and not their problem.
"I called another roofing company, which told me Champion had installed it incorrectly and fixed it for $1,000. I contacted Champion to discuss reimbursement and after several months, they reimbursed me $500."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want Champion to reimburse me for the remaining $500."
