Homeowner nails construction group with quality complaint

COMPLAINT: Chris Pauli, Chesterfield, Mo.

"CTM Construction Services in St. Louis installed travertine tile in my foyer, kitchen and hallways, and repaired and replaced the plywood substrate on my roof deck. However, the grout and numerous tiles are cracking, and two reputable tile contractors have independently called the tile job 'unacceptable per industry standards' and 'a total loss.' It needs to be ripped out and re-installed properly.

"Also, the plywood on the roof deck was nailed instead of screwed, and numerous nails missed the joists, resulting in the deck feeling spongy in numerous places."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the work fixed."

STATUS: Penalty Box
