Homeowner chases down tree fertilizer shot

COMPLAINT: Cyndy Taber, Indianapolis

"I called Clingerman Tree Experts in Indianapolis about having some of my trees trimmed. Scott Clingerman came to my home and gave me an estimate for trimming three maples and a crabapple for $625. He also recommended a fertilizer injection for one of the maples for an additional $90.

"I agreed to have all the trees trimmed, and to the fertilizer injection. They did a good job trimming the trees and cleaning up the property, and I was pleased with the work. When I asked about the fertilizer injection, they told me Scott would return the following day to perform it, so I wrote them a check. Unfortunately, that part of the job still hasn't been completed.

"I've placed close to 20 calls to the company and Scott's cell phone. They only answered my calls twice, and both times they promised that Scott would call me back. No return calls have ever come."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want them to complete the fertilizer injection work or refund my $90."
