Going green with your roof doesn't mean choosing between different kinds of solar panels. There are other ways you can have a more environmentally-friendly roof including using white and light grey shingles to reflect sunlight. You can also choose to use recycled materials for shingles and buying durable shingles that last longer and use less material.
