Fence company resolves Franklin posthole complaint
COMPLAINT: Hazel Fetz, Franklin, Ind.
I hired Imperial Fence Company to install a black vinyl-coated chain-link fence. I had to wait a few weeks for the fence to be approved by my homeowner's association before it could be installed, but I called to let [Imperial] know when it was approved.
To my surprise, they came out without setting up a specific time or date with me and installed the fence when I wasn't home. The fence didn't match with the neighbor's fence; there was about a 1-foot gap between my fence and theirs.
They came back and installed a filler piece for the gap. I also called and had them move the fence line about a foot out. After moving it, they didn't fill in the original postholes, so there are several large holes in my yard.
About three weeks after installation, one of the post tops came off. I called the office to inform them and they advised me that it should have been glued on. They told me that I'd receive a call back to have someone come out and install a new one. I've yet to receive that call.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want the cap secured on the post and the postholes filled in.
STATUS: Resolved
