Description of work: "After experiencing major flooding in my basement, N B Enterprises replaced the broken clay pipes that ran underground along my driveway and around the front of my house, which had caused water to back up through the walls of my basement.
"This entailed major excavation to find and replace the problem pipes, as well as waterproofing the exterior walls, rebuilding a window well using sandstone, filling in and paving over unnecessary window wells, rebuilding a sandstone walkway and repairing the area along the driveway that had been dug up."
Member comments: "Nick [Berardi, owner] surveyed the area and sent me a written estimate, explaining the work that needed to be done and acknowledged that his crew would not know the full extent of the problem until the area was excavated. The crew worked tirelessly. Soon after the job was done, I had a major rainstorm, and my basement was completely dry."
About the company: According to N B's website, in some instances, interior waterproofing only masks the problems. Exterior waterproofing addresses what may be the real problem beyond the house, including restricted pipes, poor drainage, tree roots or cracks in the exterior foundation, which can eventually lead to erosion, mold and decay of the interior foundation.
