"I hired Jaworski Coatings Inc. to scrape, prime and paint the exterior of a historical home. The initial experience was pleasant. However, within six weeks of completion, I noticed peeling paint on my porch and rear deck.

"I also noticed paint bubbling on the side of the house. I made several attempts to contact the company for resolution. I even attempted to visit the business based on the address listed on their website, but the building was unoccupied.

"This process has prevented me from getting an accurate appraisal of my home."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want my repairs completed."

COMPANY RESPONSE: Marie Jaworski, secretary, Jaworski Coatings Inc.

"We went to take care of the member's problems, but at no point did he mention the paint peeling off the rear deck. He only pointed out the back porch that needed repairs.

"We always leave our touch-up [paint] with the homeowner for minor repairs. It is not feasible for us to come out every time something new is noticed."

STATUS: Stalemate

Editor's note: The member did not accept the contractor's counteroffer to return a third time for a reduced hourly rate of $40 instead of $60 for repair work.
