Description of Work:
I have a 108-year-old house in Staten Island, N.Y., and I’m setting about doing a major renovation. Much of the house was rewired about 25 years ago, but as an electrical contractor, myself, the main 100-amp electrical panel concerned me.
I contacted Roger De Electric and got a quotation for a complete upgrade of the electrical system to 200-amp service.

I'm a third generation electrical contractor who specializes in steel tower lines and power plants. But, I’m smart enough to not do my own electrical work at home. I am also a Construction Management and Administration professor at Columbia University and Roger De Electric is the type of firm I like to use as an example for my students.
Their response was prompt to my initial call and Roger appeared in person to look at the project. The estimate was detailed and easy to interpret; the quotation was provided promptly; and there was no hesitation when I asked for a certificate of insurance.
Roger handled all the permits and the coordination with the local power provider.
They arrived on time, well equipped and Roger and his crew were highly skilled. From the moment they arrived until the electricity was turned back on, things went like clockwork.
The finished work, in all candor, looks like art. The site was left spotless with a NYC permit hanging on the box for the electrical inspector. These guys are pros from beginning to end.
