If you've got children returning to school this fall, better grades could be just a brisk walk away.
"Exercise tends to promote a more appropriate distribution of blood in the brain," says Dr. Douglas B. McKeag, who specializes in family and sports medicine at the highly rated Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
To make sure your child's thinking clearly, he recommends 20 to 30 minutes of physical activity before studying or doing homework.
