Deck company accused of failing to pull Boston permits

COMPLAINT: Celine Sellam, Brookline, Mass.

"I hired Smart Coats to replace planks on two decks, the posts on one deck, rusted nails and part of the railing. They assured me that they'd pull all the necessary permits, but they didn't.

"They didn't support the deck while replacing the posts and didn't replace all the rusted nails as promised. I asked them to reimburse me and they refused.

"They gave a 15-year warranty that's clearly useless since they won't fix the lousy work they did and don't keep their promises. I would never use them again."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want my money back so I can hire another contractor to fix what they did wrong. I don't trust this company to do a good job and to use proper craftsmanship."

STATUS: Penalty Box

Pet groomer allegedly botches Boston pet's 'puppy cut'
