D.C. waterproofing poses possible sump pump problem
COMPLAINT: Amy Richards, Arlington, Va.
"I hired Aquaguard Waterproofing of Beltsville, Md., to install two sump pumps in my basement.
"I still don't have the battery backups that I ordered, and if I lose power in a storm and need the sump pumps, then I guess I'm out of luck.
"The company doesn't seem to mind that their suppliers have been keeping them waiting, but I do."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the battery backups."
RESPONSE: John Bryant, owner
"The member's backup system was on back order and she withheld $200 from her balance until the backup system was installed.
"By human error, her request was not fulfilled in a timely manner. Because of this error when we installed the backup system, we allowed her to keep the $200 owed to Aquaguard for her inconvenience."
STATUS: Resolved
