Damage during heat pump repair creates complaint
COMPLAINT: Madelon Peterson, Mesa, Ariz.
"I hired George Brazil Services of Phoenix to install two new heat pumps. The installers went through an attic access door in my office. They did not barrier off the work area, and there was thick dust and crud on every surface, including the electronic equipment.
"They also broke off a corner of the attic door and gouged the drywall in the hallway. I understand that minor accidents happen, but what I don't understand is not mentioning them to the homeowner. They also disconnected my doorbell while installing a thermostat. I was promised a rebate, but I have not yet received it."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "They need to fix the attic door, drywall gouge and doorbell. I would also like to receive the rebate."
STATUS: Resolved
