Highly rated Dallas house cleaners say that they are seeing more homeowners try to save money on house cleaning. With the current economy, more people are waiting longer in between appointments and stretch their money. B & D Cleaning Services’ owner Darla Thomas says bi-weekly cleaning is the most popular schedule in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas.

Deb Davis, owner of Deb’s Housecleaning in Dallas says she doesn’t get as many requests for a weekly cleaning schedule as she used to. Most of her customers ask for bi-weekly or monthly cleaning. When setting up a monthly cleaning schedule, ask about the rates ahead of time as some will charge more when the appointments are spread out.

Davis also says she has been getting more calls for one-time cleanings. Call in advance to schedule an appointment for a one-time visit if you have a tight deadline. If the cleaning company is very busy, they may give preference to their regular clients.

The standard areas that customers request are bathrooms, kitchens and floors. To cut down on costs, some homeowners will just ask for the bare minimum. Davis says that she especially sees this with elderly or disabled clients. Their immediate needs are usually dusting and cleaning the areas that they spend the most time in, such as the bathroom and kitchen.
