"I hired DFW Custom Decks to build a new patio. The job was about two-thirds complete when the owner and lead carpenter had a death in the family and had to leave town to go to Iowa.
"He said he should be back at our my property to finish the job in two weeks. It's been three weeks, and since then I have not heard back from him. He has not contacted me, despite my phone calls and e-mails. The work remains unfinished."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I just want him to contact me and finish the work. If he will not or cannot complete this project, I expect him to reimburse me for the work he hasn't not done."
STATUS: Penalty Box
