Customer wants refund for door repair no-show
COMPLAINT: Ward Harris, Dallas
"I needed my home's back door replaced. I contacted Edmonds Door Repair in Dallas and they came out the next day. They did a good job of determining what I needed and how they could meet my requirements. They needed a 50-percent down payment and promised to complete the work within a week.
"That week went and another went by, but no one showed. They were very slow to return my calls and e-mails. They always had an excuse for the delay, but promised results in the next few days. About two weeks later, I finally got them to return my call and I cancelled the installation. The owner promised to send a full $850 refund, but I haven't received it. They took my money, but didn't do any work."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want my deposit refunded."
