Customer sheds light on wrong wiring claim
COMPLAINT: Elizabeth Blado, San Jose, Calif.
"I hired Safeside Electric Co. Inc. of San Jose to install recessed lighting, new garage plugs and more exterior lighting. They did not come on the day they originally promised. The next day, they came and put four lights outside, but it wasn't Keith [Swanson, the owner], it was one of his workers. Keith asked for a check for 50 percent of the total amount before 50 percent of the work was done.
"I told him I was uncomfortable doing so. Two guys came back the next day to do recessed lighting, but they completely messed up a two-way light we had by wiring it wrong. They came back the next day and tried to fix it but damaged the drywall. Keith and his workers never fixed the problems, and I had to pay another electrician $500 to fix the issues, plus I had to have the drywall repaired and painted."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like to be reimbursed the $500 I am out because they would not fix their incorrect wiring."
