WFC Construction & Management Inc. won the Super Service Award in 2009, and also 2007.
Keeping customers happy is key to Sabato Di Palma’s success, he says. The 37-year-old general contractor took over the business in 2007.
"I never give advice over the phone," says Di Palma, who's licensed to work in Westchester County and Fairfield County, Conn. "I go see [potential customers and] try to understand what they like and take it from there."
The two-time Super Service Award winner regularly accompanies his customers to purchase the correct materials for each job. He's also in the process of building a showroom to display materials.
"I walk them through the process. That's what I do," Di Palma says. "I tell them exactly what they should do. I don't care if I lose money. I'm not trying to rip people off."
Angie's List member Pasquale Matera hired WFC to design and build his home in White Plains, and he says he and his wife were thrilled to find a "one-stop general contracting construction company."
"The end result was the home of our dreams, a home we want to raise a family in," Matera says. "While I'm sure there are other fine general contractors out there, the only one I would recommend is WFC."

Richard Logis of Scarsdale says he hired Di Palma and his crew to build a 2,000-square-foot addition to his home last summer, and the crew went out of its way to accommodate scheduling around his special needs child.
The end result was amazing, he says. "Many of my friends and family who were familiar with the house before WFC's work could not believe that it was the same house!"
Di Palma says each of his customers receives special treatment. "With my job, you change people's lives," he says. And even though he has a wife and four young children at home, he makes himself available to his customers 24 hours a day. "I love what I do," he says.
