What services do you offer?
Ron Lowe: "We are a handyman service, so we don't do a lot of design work. Our customers usually purchase their bathroom fixtures, and we install them."
Ken Havice: "We offer all phases of residential and commercial services. We also design, build and customize work, home and office generators."
Brent Feier: "We do bathroom lighting installation and custom work. Homeowners usually already know what they want, but we can help them with design advice."
What bathroom lighting trends are you seeing right now?
Lowe: "Most people are trying to go green by using halogen lighting, but the best light bulbs to use in a bathroom are ones that won't get so hot - compact fluorescent lighting."
Havice: "Trends include mostly recessed cans, a bar light over the mirror or a couple of wall sconces. Typically, the customer supplies the decorative fixtures, and we supply the recessed can, trim and bulb."
Feier: "We're seeing more bronze and brush nickel as opposed to brass, as far as fixtures go. If homeowners don't already have the fixtures they want, we can put them in touch with a lighting salesman."
What's the most unusual lighting system you've installed?
Lowe: "We installed a large, four- foot round chandelier. We had to build scaffolding to allow two craftsmen to hang it, and the entire job took five or six hours."
Havice: "We've installed computerized lighting controls, which you can program throughout the whole house to change lighting levels at programmed times."
Feier: "We've installed light "touch" systems and remote control lighting."
What makes you stand out from your competition?
Lowe: "We guarantee our service and materials - whether we purchase them or not - for one year. Our craftsmen are respectful, responsible and show a high concern for our customers and their belongings. If we can't help them, we will refer them to someone who can - someone we trust."
Havice: "We make your home safer with ground fault protection, arch fault protection and smoke detectors. If you install the Cutler Hammer surge protection, you get a free $75,000 insurance policy for it. We also have 24-hour emergency service."
Feier: "Homeowners get their price quoted upfront before we start the job. Our professionalism, as well as our 10-year warranty, which is included in the price of most jobs, also sets us apart from the competition."
