COMPLAINT: Linda Diamond, Palo Alto, Calif.
"I hired Allied Aire Service Inc. of Milpitas, Calif., to install a new furnace, air conditioner and ductwork. Everything went well. However, when I mentioned the 10 percent senior citizen discount for Angie's List members, he informed me it was only applicable for service calls and not new installations. This is not specified on the company's profile, however."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I feel I should receive the Angie's List senior citizen discount mentioned in the profile."
STATUS: Stalemate
Editor's note: The member and Allied Aire Service Inc. were unable to reach an agreement. Diamond said she mailed Allied Aire Service Inc. the 10 percent that she had withheld in her initial payment.
