Burned-out
COMPLAINT: Joe Pinzone, Brook Park, Ohio
"I had a house fire, so I hired Yanesh Brothers Construction Co. Inc. to gut and repair the inside of my home. I could have built three homes in the time it took them. They'd come for two to three hours and not get much done. Sometimes they never even showed up.
"I filed complaints and gave them my concerns, none of which were addressed. I've had to live out of boxes for the past few months. As of right now, I wouldn't even have them build a doghouse. My insurance company dropped me because of their high estimates."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'm seeking a $564 refund."
RESPONSE: William Yanesh Jr., vice president, Yanesh Brothers Construction Co. Inc.
"The member's statements are false. We didn't take too long to fix his house. The job is 100 percent done, and the owner signed a satisfaction release form. The member's insurance company dictated the cost of restoration, so they canceled him for reasons other than high estimates.
"We also completed restoration within the allotted time given by the insurance company. We did many extras, too, like installing a kitchen on the first floor and bathroom in the basement."
STATUS: Stalemate
