"I had ants, and a guy from Apex Pest Control Service Inc. came to the door and asked to come in. I told him that I had a small baby, and I asked if the product he would spray the ants with was toxic, and he said yes.
I asked what it was, and he didn't give me any information, so I told him just to do the outside although the ants were mainly in the kitchen. He sprayed for 10 minutes around the kitchen exterior walls, but the company said he was here for at least a half hour.
My bill was more than $160, and I still have ants. I didn't like that tthey didn't disclose the type of product they used."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like to see some literature on the chemicals the company uses, and if I approve it, I want them to reservice my home at no additional charge. If I'm not satisfied with the chemicals, I'd like a partial refund of $85."
RESPONSE: James Stocker, CEO, Apex Pest Control Service Inc.
"The member refused to let our tech spray inside, and she wouldn't let him use bait. She said just to treat the outside.
Our tech sprayed the complete exterior of the home using 20 gallons. I'm willing to return to treat the inside or give a refund of half the charge because we couldn't do the inside.
We don't like unhappy customers."
STATUS: Resolved
Editor's note: Apex Pest Control refunded the member $85.
