"I hired Star Construction of Buffalo Grove [Ill.] to repair leaks, which involved replacing several skylights and my roof. Owner Roman Starek offered a 10-year warranty and assured me I'd have no problems after he did the work.

"A few months later, I experienced more leaks. He made some minor changes, which proved not to help. He said that he'd come back if leaking persisted, but since then, he's been unreachable."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a partial refund of the $11,000 I paid because they abandoned their 10-year pledge and failed to resolve the leaks."
