Chicago dry cleaner allegedly ruins shirt
Date Published: Aug 03 2011
COMPLAINT: Henry Lara, Grayslake, Ill.
“I hired Bethel Dry Cleanings of Round Lake to clean several shirts. They tore and damaged one of my Ralph Lauren Polo shirts. Not only did they not point out the damage, but they intentionally hid it. When I returned to the store to make a complaint, they blamed me for the damage. The manager said it's normal for clothes to get damaged, but would not take responsibility. After I complained further, they offered to replace my $98 shirt with a $6.99 knockoff that's too small to fit me.”
DESIRED RESOLUTION: “I would like them to reimburse me for the full cost of the shirt.”
STATUS: Penalty Box
